Wakeboard boots
Wakeboard bindings are the most important part for the wakeboarder. The wakeboard boots and bindings are the link between wakeboarder and his/her wakeboard.
The flexibility of the binding determines the riding experience. Basically, a distinction is made between the three forms of boots and bindings: open, closed and system bindings. In addition to the different wakeboard boots and bindings, there are also four different closure systems: laces, Velcro, rubberstraps and BOA.
open wakeboardboots
An open wakeboard boot is open in the front allowing the toes to be free. These wakeboard boots are perfect for groups with different shoe sizes. They are also great for children who are still growing. These wakeboard boots are open making them much more flexible than the other types of boots. This lacks responsiveness for the better wakeboarders.
closed wakeboardboots
A closed wakeboard boot is closed at the front. Because of this, the size range is smaller than an open wakeboard boot but the fit is perfectly tailored to your shoe size. Since you are completely secure in your wakeboard boat, responsiveness is also better.
system wakeboardboots & bindings
A system wakeboard boat consists of two parts, the boat and the binding. So this is similar to a snowboard binding with a snowboard set-up. Advanced wakeboarders prefer this set-up since it loosens the upper leg compared to other boots and bindings. Since the boots are stiffer on the bottom, this provides better cushioning. System bindings and boots provide optimum rectitude and increases wakeboard control.
