Learn to skate through our VTS-trained skate initiators.

Starting January 7, we are taking skate initiations a little differently. From now on we no longer work with lesson series of 5 consecutive Sundays but with a turn card.

Every Sunday there will be a lesson from 10:00 to 11:30 on the new skatepark of Oudenaarde. If you want to participate in the skate initiation, come to the skate park at this time. Once the initiation starts, the turn card will be stamped and the participants will be divided into 3 groups. These 3 groups are based on the skill-level/level of the participant. The VTS-trained skate initiators indicate when the participant is ready for the next level. He/she may then choose whether or not to move on to the next group.

Group 1 - Beginner

• first contact with skateboarding
• focus on balance and riding
• basic tips and understanding

Group 2 - Grower

• bowl interaction: drop-in, rock to fakie, rock-n-roll, push through knees
• tricks: ollie, ride-on grinds
• style

Group 3 - Advanced

• tricks: boardslide, 50-50, firecracker, manuals

Turn cards

The 5- and 10-turn cards are available at One80 Boardshop. Upon purchase, we add the participant or parent to the shared WhatsApp group. In this we notify when the initiation cannot take place due to weather conditions. In addition, the participant automatically becomes a member of DE LOODS SKATEBOARDING VZW and is insured during the initiations.

5-turn card: €65
10-turn card: €135 + 1 lesson free (10+1)

To keep in touch with the participants, a WhatsApp group will be created, where communication will mainly take place whether the class will continue or not. No news, is good news, so if no message is sent, the class will definitely go on. When you purchase a 5- or 10-turn card in One80 Boardshop, you will be added to this group.
